Oh Come All Ye Festivals (and Christmas Fairs and Feasts)

Words by Lauren Entwistle

It’s official – Christmas is coming. In fact, it’s practically around the corner, so for those of you who are more than willing to brave the cold and get into the festive spirit, we’ve got a top line-up of Christmas Happenings coming your way. From fairs, gatherings and more, here’s what Leeds has in store this December:

The Christmas Experience – Lotherton Hall

Running until the 23rd of December, historic Lotherton Hall presents the ultimate festive day out, “steeped in Christmas magic and tradition.” Featuring a Twelve Days of Christmas Woodland Walk, Fairy Dell, Elf Workshop and the house itself beautifully decorated for the Yuletide Season.

Make sure to mark the calendar for Lotherton’s Christmas Market events on the weekends of the 16th and 17th Dec, with a variety of stalls for everyone to enjoy. And before you go, why not try your hand at wreath making outside the House every weekend to put on the door at home? Perfect.

Featuring an enticing selection of stalls, from high end crafts, one of a kind vintage, unique stocking fillers, locally sourced food produce and a family friendly area for kids (and big kids!) alike, you’ll also find “Santa’s Story Grotto” on the Ground Floor to keep everyone entertained. It’s sure to be a merry day out.
