Bundobust started as a collaboration between award winning institutions Prashad (Gordan Ramsay’s Great British Restaurant finalists) and The Sparrow Bier cafe (The Guardian’s Top 10 UK Craft Beer Bars) in April 2013. After a handful of successful and sold out curry and beer pairing events it was decided that a permanent home should be found. In July 2014 Bundobust opened its doors on Leeds’ Mill Hill, a once derelict street that is slowly being brought back to life.
Bundobust is not a restaurant, it is a bar that sells Indian street food with an extensive selection of the world’s best craft beer. The food, influenced by the vibrant street food scene of India, should be washed down with hoppy India Pale Ales, a classic beer style that was originally brewed in England and shipped to the troops in times of The Raj. Wine and cocktails are also available.
Since opening, Bundobust has fast become the city’s go to place for vegans, craft beer fans and curry fanatics alike.
