About Middleton Railway

The Middleton Railway is the world’s oldest working railway,  run entirely by volunteers, train services operate (mainly at weekends) between Moor Road station and Middleton Park, in south Leeds.

The railway is a must-see for enthusiasts, visit Moor Road and see the extensive museum collection in the Engine House, and entry to this is free. The highlight of any visit is a ride on the train, from the Moor Road site to Park Halt and back again.
