About The Turks Head
Opened in early 2016, The Turk’s Head is already regarded as one the
most beautiful bars in Yorkshire, hidden just off the main shopping
precinct in Leeds City Centre.
Inspired by the dram and liqueur shops that gave way to the gin
palaces of the 18th Century, The Turk’s Head reflects on the past but
remains firmly rooted in the present, focussing on high quality
service, lovely surroundings and top quality products.
The aim is to present one of the strongest beer lists in the country
(12 changing keg lines, 2 cask and a stacked fridge), alongside an
evolving artisan spirit list and a refined cocktail menu.
Crispy pig’s ears and the House Pickle Plate are some of the dishes
that give a nod to the Victorian heritage of the bar’s location, while
the full menu of neighbouring sister pub Whitelock’s is available all
weekend – including the infamous Whitelock’s Sunday Roasts.
Regular events – including Meet The Brewer sessions – showcase the
best suppliers and producers around.
The Turk’s Head would like to think of itself as an ideal meeting
point for friends, couples, for after work beers – and is surely a
‘must visit’ venue in the very heart of this vibrant city.
