Sacred Music for London and Salzburg

Clothworkers Consort of Leeds conducted by Bryan White The Clothworkers Consort of Leeds perform a concert of seventheenth-century sacred vocal music, mixing liturgical music for Salzburg Cathedral with anthems and motets from the English Chapel Royal. The programme includes Heinrich Biber’s stile antico Missa Quadragesimalis, written in the early 1670s, William Turner’s Latin motet ‘Quemadmodum desiderat’, Purcell’s ‘Save me, O God’, and his stunning eight-part anthem ‘Blow up the trumpet in Sion’.
